Get started in therapy. Here is a guideline to help you know what to expect.

Getting Started with the Therapy Portal
When you are ready to schedule a session, check your email for the Therapy Portal invite. Create a password for yourself and access the forms. There are HIPAA and board required forms that are needed before the start of therapy. Filling out the forms thoroughly beforehand will help avoid using session time to gather necessary forms.
An active credit card is required to be placed on file to secure your appointment. Please be assured that you will not be billed until after the appointment

Logging into Your Telehealth Session
Your telehealth session will be available in the Therapy Portal. Just log in before your session and click on the tab that says "Join Telehealth Session."

If you need to reschedule your appointment, just email or text 24hrs in advance to avoid the full session fee.

Using Your Insurance
If you have PPO, you may be eligible for reimbursement by your insurance company at your contracted rate. We provide a superbill at your request which you can send to your insurance company. Call your insurance company and ask about "outpatient mental health coverage."

Frequency & Type of Therapy
Evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy is used. When you meet with your provider, always discuss what you would like to include or exclude in your therapy process. Discuss any concerns or questions you may have. After the first session, your provider can provide an accurate expectation about frequency of sessions recommended.
